Financial contributions and assistance

There are some costs associated with going to school that you may find it helpful to plan and budget for.

Costs to consider include:

  • uniforms

  • school books and equipment

  • excursions

  • co-curricular activities.

Voluntary school contributions

Like all NSW public schools, we can request contributions to enhance our educational and sporting programs including elective subjects. School contributions help provide additional educational resources for the benefit of students. Payment is voluntary.

For more information, visit the Voluntary School Contribution policy.

The contributions are set each year and will be approximately $50 per student. Prompt payment of these contributions assist the school in purchasing the essentials.

Financial assistance

If you are unable to pay school contributions because of financial hardship, you may be eligible for assistance from the school.

Our principal will ensure no student or family suffers any discrimination or embarrassment over the inability to pay school contributions.

Payments

When payment is being made for any school activity, please forward the correct amount, where possible if paying in cash, or make cheques payable to Marsden Park Public School, to your child’s class teacher. Please ensure all details are completed on the front of the envelope.

If you are unable to meet the payment immediately, we encourage part payments if it enables you to budget more effectively, but all payments must be completed before the due date. We also offer online payments through the make a payment tab, on top of the page.

This service is provided via the Westpac Bank secure quickstream site. Unfortunately, at this time there is no eftpos facility available.
