Each school in NSW offers something slightly different depending on the community. Here's what we offer for you.
All canteens in NSW public schools must meet certain requirements. These include providing more healthy food and drink options – to make the healthy choice an easy choice for students. Visit Healthy school canteens to learn more.
Crunch and sip
As part of our Personal Development and Health program, each child is asked to bring a small amount of fresh fruit and/or vegetable to school each day. This could be half an apple cut into smaller pieces, a banana, a few strawberries, carrot sticks, celery sticks and more. In fact any fruit or vegetables they like to eat. Please no yoghurt, orange juice or lollies/chocolate.
All classes stop what they are doing and 'crunch and sip' their fruit and vegetables and a bottle of water (supplied by the school). Your co-operation in providing the fruit and vegetables daily is much appreciated.
When students wear a school uniform, they feel included in our school community.
Students, teachers, parents and carers, as well as members of our local community helped develop our school uniform to make sure it:
meets the requirements of occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation
includes items that are affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics
is appropriate for the full range of school activities
Our school policy is that each child wear the school uniform at all times as they engender a sense of pride and belonging in the school group. Full school uniform is required for participation in excursions and special functions. This includes the wearing of enclosed shoes and the school’s sun safe hat.
Uniforms can be purchased on Thursday and Friday only through the school. Order forms are available from the school office. There are also a small number of second hand uniforms available in limited sizes at reduced prices and are cash only.
